Since the invention of inverters, this technique has gotten a great energy-saving result in many technologies. As we can have more profits by saving power, we should follow these principles while choosing the inverters for speed controlling or engergy-saving:
1. The lower the frequency is, the more energy we save. Basiclly, we cannot save energy by inverters without the lowering of frequency.
2. There must be a conditon for saving energy. We can turn the normal operating of inverters into economic operating after altering parameters properly. Through these, the energy used for operating unreasonable parameters would be saved.
3. When it related to the motor loading rate, the maximum energy-saving rate will be 8%-10% when the loading rate is 10%-90%. Energy-saving rate will be higher with lower loading rate is lower. And with the electrical energy saving of 40%-50%, you will not be charged for electric charge.
4. It is related to the reasonableness of the operating parameter value. Such as the adjustable magnitude like pressure, flow and speed, etc. The more adjustable the magnitude is, the higher the energy-saving rate will be.
5. It is related to the adjusting way adopted. It’s not economic at all for those adjusting with inport or export valve. It will be economic aftering using inverters for its energy-saving of 20%-30%.
6. It is related to the speed regulation adopted. For example, we use slip motor for speed regulating, and the efficiency ratio is under 50%, which is not economic at all. You can save that energy by using inverters. It is the first priorty to save energy by using inverters for business like light, textile, paper, printing & dyeing, plastic and rubber industry.
7. It is related to the operating time of motor. If it is on 24 hours/day and 365 days/year, it will save more energy.
8. It is related to the power of motor. Provided with the same energy-saving rate, the bigger the power is, the more the energy saved. Then you can have more actual prolfits comparing with lower-power motors.
9. It is related to the operating way of motors. The energy saved varies with constant operation, short-time operation and intermittent operation.
10. It is related to the importance of equipments under using. After applying inverters to those energy-costing equipments, high-cost products and equipments with lower-efficiency speed regulation, you will see the good result immediately and it will greatly increase your profits.
