Green Power Segments are Positioned Differently

Hydroelectric power, nuclear power, wind power and solar energy, four segments of clean energy, are positioned respectively at the Chinese

national energy working conference held on Jan. 6, 2011 in Beijing China. “It is planned to achieve the proportion of non-fossil energy sources 11.4 percent of the primary energy consumption at the end of 12th Five-Year-Plan, and over half shall be accomplished by hydroelectric power,”

said Zhang Guobao, the deputy director of National Development and Reform Commission and head of the National Energy Administration. However, what should be noticed is

the wind power segment as the National Energy Administration expressed clearly it will give the support to the development of wind power companies, improve the industry concentration,

and encourage companies and equipment in this segment to go global. And as for the solar energy segment, according to the National Energy Administration, a batch of large on-grid PV power stations are going to be built in the areas with abundant solar energy but deserted and desolate ground resources. Additionally, the PV sector will also be fostered to be

advanced equipment manufacturing industry and meanwhile the emerging energy pillar industry of our country.
